Regionals Bound: Turner to Compete in 3000m Steeple in Lexington May 25

Back-to-Back NCAA Outdoor Regional Appearances for Farmington Senior
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan Track and Field's Anya Turner has officially earned a spot in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Regional in Lexington, Ky., the NCAA announced on Thursday.
Turner, a redshirt senior from Farmington, Mich., placed 2nd in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2024 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships on May 10. Her time of 10:13.78, which broke the CMU program record in the event, ranks her 46th nationally and 24th in the east region.
She ran in the NCAA East Regional in 2023 in Jacksonville, Fla, alongside Emily Paupore, who redshirted the 2024 outdoor season. Turner placed 43rd, finishing the race in 10:59.95.
The Lexington Regional, hosted by Kentucky, will take place from May 22-25. The women's 3000m steeplechase will take place on Saturday, May 25, at 5:40 p.m. (ET).
