Gymnastics ranked 9th Nationally, 16 Gymnasts earn WCGA Scholastic All-America Honors

Gymnastics ranked 9th of 87 schools with 3.7716 team GPA
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — 16 of Central Michigan Gymnastics' 2024 roster of 19 gymnasts have earned 2024 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America honors, the association announced on Wednesday.
The Chippewas ranked 9th in grade-point average (GPA) out of 87 qualifying institutions, with a team GPA of 3.7716 and 84.21% of student-athletes receiving the honor.
Earning WCGA Scholastic All-America honors are sophomore Luciana Alvarado-Reid, junior Avah Bootz, seniors Adriana Bustelo, Elizabeth Buttle and Elizabeth Cesarone, junior Alexis Garcia, freshman Jenna Germond, senior Hallie Hornbacher, freshman Gabrielle Johnson, junior Lia Kmieciak, senior Katie Kowalski, junior Ariana Light, senior Amber Mueller, freshman Sophia Reddy, junior Quinn Skrupa and graduate student Ashley Veglucci.
Veglucci is now a five-time honoree while Bustelo, Buttle, Cesarone, Kowalski and Mueller have been honored for four consecutive years. It is the third year for Garcia and Kmieciak and the second consecutive time for Alvarado-Reid.
