Chippewas Return to Mount Pleasant for Home-Opener Friday
ORONO, Maine — Central Michigan Field Hockey fell to Maine, 2-0, on Sunday.Â

Mallory Camryn led the Chippewas' (3-2) offensive push at the end of the first half, with a goal that was later overturned. Leading to a 1-0 deficit going into the second half.Â
Â
The Black Bears (4-1) struck late in the third quarter to end the scoring. The Chippewas put three shots on goal and drew four penalty corners on the day.

Freshman goalie Jenna Billig logged five saves across three periods. Senior Coletta Beeler went the final 15 minutes in goal, recording three more.
The Chippewas host Colgate (0-3) this Friday at 4 p.m. for the season's home-opener.
