Alvarado-Reid, Appleget, Kmieciak earn All-MAC Honors

Alvarado-Reid earns First Team nod; Appleget, Kmieciak named Second Team
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Three Central Michigan Gymnasts have earned All-MAC honors, the Mid-American Conference announced on Tuesday.
Junior Luciana Alvarado-Reid was named First Team All-MAC as an all-arounder and seniors Hannah Appleget and Lia Kmieciak both earned Second Team All-MAC honors for the uneven bars.
Appleget and Kmieciak are both first time honorees while Alvarado-Reid was named MAC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and earned second team honors in 2024.
Alvarado-Reid is ranked first in the MAC in the all-around with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 39.230. The Cartago, Costa Rica junior competed in all 11 meets and earned nine all-around titles, which brings her career total to 18.
Appleget and Kmieciak are both ranked fourth in the league on the uneven bars with an NQS of 9.825. Appleget, who hails from Mays Landing, N.J., won three uneven bars titles in the 2025 season.
Kmieciak, from Naperville, Ill., won two uneven bars titles in 2025.
CMU is slated to host the 2025 MAC Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, March 22 (2 p.m.) in McGuirk Arena.
