Williams Homers in Softball Victory Over Siena

London Williams hit her second round-tripper of the tournament with the Chippewa victory in the rematch with Siena.
MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Siena and Central Michigan met for the second time this weekend and this time, the Chippewas walked away with a victory.
After falling in 10 innings to Siena on Friday, the Chippewas earned a 4-3 victory over the Saints. CMU advances to 7-12 on the year and Mackenzie Langan recorded her fourth victory of the season.
CMU struck first in the third inning with doubles from Jenna Kuzara and Tori Briggs. Kuzara led the inning off with her hit, and Briggs drove in the run.
The Chippewas added two more runs in the fourth inning with an infield single from Maddie Springer that scored Grace Koenig and Kuzara again.
In the fourth inning, London Williams hit a ball deep over the center field fence; 4-0 Chippewas.
Siena had an answer in the bottom half of the seventh inning when the Saints scored three runs with four hits, but the defense held on for the victory.
The Chippewas were able to strand nine runners from Siena on base and six of those in scoring position.
CMU will take Monday off and head to USF for a 7:05 pm first pitch against the Bulls.
