Seven Gymnasts Named Academic All-MAC

Alvarado-Reid, Bootz, Johnson, Kmieciak, Light, Shannon and Skrupa earn Academic Honors
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Mid-American Conference announced the 2025 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC teams on Friday, which includes seven Chippewa student-athletes.
To qualify for the honor, a gymnastics student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's completed contests that season. Students in their first year of residence may not qualify for the award.
The seven CMU student-athletes, including their year, major and grade-point average:
Luciana Alvarado-Reid, Junior, English Language, Literature & Writing, 3.72
Avah Bootz, Senior, General Business Admin: Applied Business Communication, 3.73
Gabrielle Johnson, Sophomore, Biochemistry, 4.0
Lia Kmieciak, Senior, Broadcasting & Cinematic Arts, 3.95
Ariana Light, Senior, Interior Design, 3.48
Samantha Shannon, Sophomore, Biology, 3.55
Quinn Skrupa, Senior, Exercise Science: Kinesiology, 3.55
