Alvarado-Reid earns her third MAC Gymnast of the Week award this season.

CLEVELAND — Central Michigan senior Luciana Alvarado-Reid was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

The senior from Cartago, Costa Rica was key to the Chippewas' win over Kent State last Friday, claiming the beam, floor and all-around titles. She scored 9.900 on beam and floor—ultimately securing the Chippewas' 196.075-196.000 victory.

Alvarado-Reid now sits at seven career beam titles, 13 career floor titles and 23 career all-around titles.

She also scored a 9.850 on bars and 9.750 on vault last Friday—for a total of 39.400 in the all-around.

Alvarado-Reid ranks first in the league on bars, all-around and floor; nationally, she is ranked 21^st on bars, 24^th in the all-around and 28th on floor.

Central Michigan is scheduled to compete against MAC opponent Bowling Green on Sunday, Feb. 22 (2 p.m.).
