Alvarado-Reid Earns Her Fifth MAC Gymnast of the Week in 2026

Alvarado-Reid posts a 39.250 all-around score in the Iowa quad meet to claim her fifth MAC Gymnast of the Week honor this season.
CLEVELAND — Luciana Alvarado-Reid of Central Michigan Gymnastics has earned her fifth Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week honor this season, the league announced on Tuesday.
Alvarado-Reid, a senior from Cartago, Costa Rica, was key to the Chippewas' finish over SEMO and NIU at the Iowa quad meet—she posted a 39.250 for third in the all-around.
She scored 9.875 on floor for third place in the event. She also marked 9.825 on bars, 9.775 on vault and 9.775 on beam.
Alvarado-Reid ranks first in the league on floor and in the all-around. On the national scale she sits 25th in the all-around.
Central Michigan is scheduled to compete in its final home meet of the season against Ball State Friday, March 13 (6 p.m.).
