Parker Secures MAC Specialist of the Week Honor

Parker posts a career high 9.925 floor score against Ball State to claim her first career MAC Specialist of the Week honor.
CLEVELAND — Heather Parker of Central Michigan Gymnastics has earned her first Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week honor this season, the league announced on Tuesday.
Parker, a redshirt sophomore from Woodbury, Tenn., led the Chippewas on floor last Friday against Ball State. She shattered her career best on the event, posting a 9.925, for her first career event title.
Parker's performance was a catalyst in CMU's highest floor score of the season at 49.425.
Up next Central Michigan prepares to compete in the MAC Championships, hosted by Bowling Green, on March 21 at 2 p.m.
