Emily Girasole

Former Chippewa Emily Girasole joined CMU head coach Cristy Frees[apos]s staff as a graduate assistant in August 2014.
Originally from Orchard Park, N.Y., Girasole served as a student assistant at CMU last season, performing video analysis, formulating drills and coordinating travel arrangements. She also gained coaching experience at the Orchard Park Field Hockey Camp in 2012-13, teaching skills to players aged 7-18.
A four-year letterwinner from 2009-12, Girasole played in 72 games for the Chippewas, starting 52, including all 19 in her senior season. Playing as a forward her first three seasons and as a back in her final year, she totaled four goals and one assist for her career.
Girasole[apos]s primary focus as a graduate assistant will be skill development and working with the defense and goalkeepers.
Girasole graduated from CMU with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, majoring in physical education with a minor in health education.
