Gymnasts Hit The Road For MAC Dual

CMU looks to remain unbeaten against leage competition
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Central Michigan gymnastics team will travel to Muncie, Ind. to take on Ball State in a Mid-American Conference dual on Sunday (1 p.m.).
Central Michigan is 11-1 and leads the MAC at 4-0. The Chippewas are coming off a victory over Bowling Green in which they posted a season-best 195.775 season.
CMU ranks No. 39 in the nation, averaging 194.675 per meet.
Ball State is 5-9, 1-2 MAC and is coming off a win in a tri-meet with Illinois State and Southeast Missouri State. The Cardinals posted a 194.575 score in the meet.

WHERE THEY STAND
CMU ranks No. 33 on the floor, No. 39 on bars and beam, and No. 43 on vault.
CMU junior Denelle Pedrick is ranked No. 36 in the nation, averaging 39.025, in the all-around. Last week against Bowling Green, Pedrick won the vault with a 9.900, won the all-around with a 39.300, and earned the MAC Gymnast of the Week Award for fourth time this season.

Ball State is No. 44 in the nation, averaging 194.285 per meet. The Cardinals are No. 24 on vault, No. 44 on both bars and on floor, and No. 55 on beam.
The Cardinals' highest score of the season is 195.000 which came a week ago in a tri-meet with Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

The Chippewas go to No. 10 Kentucky for a nonconference dual on Friday, March 8. The Wildcats are 5-5 and are coming off a win against No. 9 Alabama. The Wildcats posted a 197.200 team score in defeating the Crimson Tide. It was their second-highest score of the season.
