MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan gymnastics team hits the road on Friday for a nonconference dual meet at Southern Utah.
The Chippewas are looking to rebound from a Mid-American Conference dual loss at Northern Illinois on Sunday.
"Although we had a quick turnaround this week, the team was very productive and focused in the gym," CMU coach Christine MacDonald said. "We put in the work this week and used last weekend's results to reset and get back on target with where we need to be to make our goals.
"This meet also provides us with another opportunity to insert new faces into the lineup and continue to work toward our strongest scoring potential. With new lineups and new venues, the real test will be finding a way to execute in the way we know how and are capable of."

The Chippewas are averaging 194.913, which puts them 31st nationally. Of the four events, they are ranked highest on the vault, 14th, with a 49.050 average.
They are 33rd on uneven parallel bars (48.644), 40th on floor exercise (48.713), and 41st on balance beam (48.506).
