MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan gymnastics team returns to competition on Sunday with a Mid-American Conference dual meet with Bowling Green at McGuirk Arena.
The Chippewas last competed a week ago, when they posted a 195.950, their second highest of the season, in a dual-meet loss at Kent State.
The 195.950 upped CMU's season average to 194.750, which is 37th nationally. Sunday's meet is the second this season between CMU and Bowling Green. The Chippewas scored 195.050 in winning at dual in the Falcons' Anderson Arena on Feb. 5.
Sunday's event is the Chippewas' second-to-last home meet of the year. CMU is scheduled to go next weekend to Illinois State for a tri-meet with the Redbirds and Lindenwood, and then will close the regular season at home on Saturday, March 13, with a quad that includes MAC foes Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Ball State.
The MAC Championships are scheduled for March 20 at Western Michigan in Kalamazoo.
