10 Chippewas Named To Academic All-MAC Field Hockey Team

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Ten members of the Central Michigan field hockey team have earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors.
The 10 Chippewas named to the team with their year, hometown, major and grade point average: Lauren Buffington, sophomore, Hartland, Wis., international business, 3.98; Taryn Damm, senior, Ann Arbor, physical education, 3.74; Alli Huddleson, senior, Douglassville, Pa., master's of sport administration: leadership, 4.00; Emily Maloney, sophomore, Saline, exercise science, 3.47; Alice O'Hagan, sophomore, West Clandon, Surrey, England, marketing, 3.41; BobbiMarie Parker, sophomore, Escondido, Calif., exercise science, 3.51; Avery Periard, junior, Crestwood, Ky., neuroscience, 3.40; Anna Riesenberg, redshirt junior, Davis, Calif., mechanical engineering, 3.74; Rachel Ruttenberg, sophomore, Ann Arbor, broadcast & cinematic arts, 3.78; Megan Stockreef, sophomore, Novi, Mich., theatre & interpretation, 3.96.
It marks the third-consecutive year that both Huddleson and Damm have been named to the squad, and the second-consecutive year for Riesenberg.
To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in 50 percent of more of her team's games.
