Chippewas will travel to Kent State for 2023 MAC Gymnastics Championship, first event begins at 2 p.m.

KENT, Ohio—The Central Michigan Gymnastics team will travel to Kent, Ohio to compete in the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championship Saturday at Kent State's Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.

The event begins at 2 p.m. Central Michigan will begin its first rotation on bars and move to beam for the second rotation. After a bye, the Chippewas will compete on floor. Following another bye, CMU will conclude the competition on vault. It will spend the final rotation in a bye.

CMU concluded its regular season with a 4-2 MAC record and 7-4 overall record in head-to-head meets. Ball State and Western Michigan tied for the regular season team title with identical 5-1 overall records. The Chippewas enter the weekend on a one-meet win streak after defeating Kent State last week.

The Chippewas enter the meet as the defending MAC Championship winners as they claimed the 2022 MAC title.
