Kmieciak Earns MAC Specialist of the Week

Kmieciak wins MAC Specialist of the Week for the second week in a row.
CLEVELAND — Graduate student Lia Kmieciak of Central Michigan Gymnastics has earned her second Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week honors, the league announced on Tuesday.
Kmieciak won two event titles, uneven bars and vault, in Sunday's MAC dual against Eastern Michigan.
Her score on bars (9.950) moved her into third in the CMU record book and claimed her eighth career title. A 9.825 vault score put her at nine career vault titles.
Kmieciak's scores were key to the Chippewas victory over Eastern Michigan and a top ten bars team score of 49.300.
Central Michigan is scheduled to compete against MAC opponent Kent State on Friday, Feb. 13 (6 p.m.).
