Gymnastics Goes To New Hampshire For Quad

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan gymnastics goes to New Hampshire on Sunday (1 p.m.) for a nonconference quad meet with the host Wildcats. Rutgers and Auburn round out the field.

Last weekend, the Chippewas (5-6) defeated Western Michigan in a Mid-American Conference dual at McGuirk Arena and then dropped a nonconference dual at Illinois. CMU scored a season-best 196.075 in its win over Western, and then posted a 195.500 against the Illini.

The 195.500 is CMU's third-best score of the season.

CMU is ranked 33^rd nationally with a 195.172 average. Auburn (196.058) is 15^th, New Hampshire (194.985) is 35^th, and Rutgers (194.194) is 47^th.

Three Chippewas, Denelle Pedrick, Hannah DeMers and Morgan Tong, rank among the top 100 in the nation in several events.

Pedrick is 15^th all-around with a 39.236 average. She is 38^th on vault, 39^th on floor exercise, 51^st on uneven parallel bars, and 72^nd on balance beam. DeMers is 42^nd on vault, 50^th all-around, and 83^rd on bars. Tong ranks 44^th nationally on balance beam.
